YS Sharmila moves daughter's wedding away from Bengaluru property
The Andhra Pradesh Congress chief decided to organise the ceremony elsewhere to ensure the event remains non-controversial after her brother refused use of the venue.
Andhra Pradesh Congress chief YS Sharmila said on Saturday that she has decided to organise her daughter's wedding away from a Bengaluru property. According to the Deccan Herald, the decision follows a refusal by her brother, former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, to allow the venue to be used for the ceremony.
Jagan Mohan Reddy recently cited security reasons for refusing to let the Yelahanka Palace be used for the wedding of his niece, Anjili Reddy. Sharmila stated in a post on X that it is incumbent upon her to conduct the wedding in a non-controversial manner without quarrels.
The wedding will now be for Anjili Reddy and Somala Raghuram Reddy. Sharmila noted that the decision to move the event away from the Yelahanka home was made considering developments surrounding the wedding venue.
Despite the change in plans, Sharmila claimed that the Yelahanka property belongs 100 per cent to her according to the apportionment of family assets.
