Privacy policy

This website doesn't use advertising trackers or set cookies of its own. You don't need an account to read it.

What's logged

Like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records basic technical information about each request (such as the address it came from and the page asked for) to deliver the site and keep it secure. We use this only in aggregate, to understand how the site is used.

Search

Search runs in your browser; what you type isn't sent to us.

Links to other sites

Our stories link to the outlets that reported them. Their privacy policies apply on their sites.

The app and notifications

If you use our app and turn on notifications, we keep your device's notification token and the sections you chose, only to send you those notifications.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Write to our contact address (being set up; it will be published here).
