Cole Palmer scores 50th Premier League goal as Chelsea beat Manchester United

Chelsea defeated 10-man Manchester United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to move to fourth place in the Premier League standings.

Chelsea defeated 10-man Manchester United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, according to The Tribune. Morgan Rogers opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 50th minute before Cole Palmer converted a penalty in the 64th minute to secure the win.

The defeat left Manchester United winless in nine consecutive matches across all competitions. According to Mint, the loss leaves the side in 17th place with seven points from nine matches.

Manchester United's Lisandro Martinez was sent off following a VAR review. The defender received a second yellow card after lunging at Wesley Fofana with his forearm while defending a set-piece.

The result marks Manchester United's worst winless streak since 1988. The club's last win was on 10 September against Sabah FK.

The victory lifted Chelsea to fourth place in the Premier League standings. The win follows a Premier League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and a midweek EFL Cup exit against Liverpool.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick faces increased pressure as the team remains one spot above the relegation zone.
