German companies view Hyderabad as hub for research and technology, says Consul General

Consul General Michael Hasper noted that the city's pharmaceutical ecosystem and engineering talent are attracting international businesses.

German companies are increasingly using Hyderabad as a centre for technological development, research, and innovation, according to The Hindu. Addressing the Day of German Unity celebrations in Hyderabad on Friday, October 30, 2026, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany Michael Hasper said businesses are visiting the city to create future products and technologies.

Mr. Hasper attributed this interest to the city's skilled engineers, ambitious young professionals, and appetite for innovation. He noted that Hyderabad has become a leading technology hub in areas such as artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, advanced engineering, and information technology.

Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sports Vakiti Srihari mentioned companies such as Siemens, Bayer, ZF, and Bosch when discussing the confidence German industries have in the local workforce.
