Kerala Blasters coach demands more from Indian attackers after Chennaiyin draw

Head coach Ashley Westwood noted his players are reaching good areas but failing to produce in vital moments.

Kerala Blasters head coach Ashley Westwood said his Indian attackers need to do more following a 0-0 draw against Chennaiyin FC on Saturday.

The match was part of the Indian Super League, where Blasters player Adrian Luna missed a penalty in the second half.

The result leaves Kerala Blasters in sixth place in the standings with five points from four games.

Westwood said the players are getting into good areas but are not producing in vital moments. He noted that Mohammed Sanan did not get the better of his full-back and Korou Singh Thingujam's final passes were not sufficient.

The coach added that he would not be too critical as the team has not had a month of training and has new players and staff.

Westwood also said that a clean sheet is a positive, marking three clean sheets in four games. He noted the team is defending well.

The team will focus on fitness top-ups starting on Tuesday, November 10, before playing Goa on November 29.
