Poonch woman suspected of crossing LoC into PoK with eight goats
Rubina Kousar, a resident of Karni village, disappeared on Friday while taking her livestock out for grazing near the boundary.
A woman from the Karni village in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district is suspected of crossing the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), according to reports by The Pioneer and Deccan Chronicle.
The woman, identified as Rubina Kousar, went missing on Friday after taking eight goats out to graze. She did not return to her home by that evening, officials said.
Preliminary information indicates that Kousar may have moved across the LoC with her livestock. However, authorities stated it is not yet clear if the crossing was intentional or happened by accident while she was grazing the animals.
Officials noted that many families living in villages along the LoC have relatives residing in PoK. This factor could make it difficult to establish the exact circumstances of the suspected crossing.
Authorities are currently waiting for more information to determine the situation regarding the woman and her goats.
