CPI(ML) Liberation to link vote theft protests with farmers and workers

General secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said the INDIA bloc will coordinate its electoral alliance struggles with ground-level movements of the working class.

Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said on Saturday that protests against alleged vote theft will be combined with the issues of farmers and the working class.

According to The Hindu, Bhattacharya was addressing the media in Kozhikode and stated there would be more coordination between the INDIA bloc and ongoing ground struggles.

He noted that the proposed India-U.S. trade deal poses a challenge to Indian agriculture, claiming farmers will suffer because they cannot compete with American farmers backed by the U.S. state.

Bhattacharya also expressed support for the working class, stating that the Labour Codes show no concern for labour welfare or the security of Indian workers.

All constituents of the INDIA bloc are expected to attend a protest rally at the Ram Lila grounds in New Delhi on November 1.

The leader added that a peaceful, popular movement is necessary if the government and the Election Commission of India do not respond to concerns.
