Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inaugurated a new Mivi manufacturing facility in Tukkuguda on Saturday.
Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said on Saturday that Telangana aims to emerge as a leading electronics manufacturing destination in India. Speaking at the inauguration of a Mivi manufacturing facility in E-City, Tukkuguda, near Hyderabad, the Minister noted that the state is focusing on technology, innovation, and bolstering the industrial ecosystem, according to The Hindu.
The Minister stated that the manufacturing sector grew by 7.7 per cent in 2025–26 due to government priority. The manufacturing sub-sector contributed Rs 1.37 lakh crore to the State’s Gross State Value Added (GSVA).
As part of the Telangana Rising–2047 vision, the government is working to strengthen hardware parks and electronics manufacturing clusters. The state aims to expand its presence in semiconductor manufacturing, chip design, and electronic component production.
The new facility was established by Aavishkaran Industries with an investment of Rs 200 crore. It has a monthly capacity of 75,000 soundbars and 5 lakh earbuds, and employs around 2,500 people.
Mivi, which has recently entered the smartphone segment with the Mivi One 5G, intends to develop a broader technology portfolio to compete with international brands. Co-founders Midhula Devabhaktuni and Viswanadh Kandula said the inauguration is a milestone as the company completes ten years.
