Amitabh Bachchan greets fans from protective glass box at Jalsa
The veteran actor was accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan during the weekly Sunday meeting outside his Mumbai residence.
Amitabh Bachchan greeted hundreds of fans from inside a transparent protective glass box outside his Juhu residence, Jalsa, on Sunday, according to reports by Hindustan Times and ANI.
The actor, who has a tradition of interacting with fans every Sunday, was seen waving from the enclosure. His son, Abhishek Bachchan, stood behind him to keep a watchful eye on the crowd while security personnel were also present at the spot.
The additional security measure follows an investigation by the Mumbai Police into a bomb threat email allegedly targeting the actor's bungalow. The threatening email was reportedly received by a school in the Bandra-Kurla Complex area in October.
Separately, the actor recently shared updates regarding his health on social media. Bachchan stated on his Tumblr account that he needed more rest to adjust and recover.
He had previously informed followers on X that he was advised by doctors to take a break from his usual social media updates to focus on his recovery.
