BJP warns Birbhum leaders against factionalism and indiscipline

Senior party leader Khokon Das told workers in Nanoor that strict disciplinary action would follow any violation of organisational directives.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership has issued a warning to its Birbhum district members regarding internal divisions, lack of discipline, and unauthorised actions, according to The Statesman.

Addressing a special organisational meeting of the Bolpur organisational district at Nanoor, senior BJP leader Khokon Das told Mandal presidents and block-level leaders to follow the district president's instructions before starting any party activity.

Das stated that no worker or leader is permitted to act on their own or ignore the directives of the party leadership.

The meeting also established rules for social media use, prohibiting workers from sharing sensitive organisational details. Das said unauthorised or controversial posts would lead to disciplinary action, and local leaders would also be held responsible for posts made within their jurisdiction.

The leader cautioned against internal lobbying and factionalism, noting that personal or professional grievances must be sent to the district president via formal letters. He said public criticism would be viewed as anti-party activity.

Party functionaries were also warned against holding secret meetings or maintaining clandestine relations with Trinamool Congress leaders. Additionally, workers were told to avoid anti-social activities or the forcible occupation of clubs and local offices to protect the party's public image.
