Commercial LPG cylinder price rises by Rs 10 as ATF rates increase
State-owned oil companies have raised the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders and aviation turbine fuel from November 1.
State-owned oil companies have increased the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 10 to Rs 2,820, according to reports from Telangana Today, The Economic Times and Deccan Chronicle. The price hike, effective from November 1, follows a price of Rs 2,810 on October 1.
Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices have also risen by Rs 1.37 per litre, moving from Rs 137.12 to Rs 138.50 per litre. This represents the fourth consecutive monthly increase for jet fuel, which accounts for up to 40 per cent of airline operating costs.
The latest commercial LPG revision follows a Rs 62.50 increase on October 1 and a Rs 9.50 increase on September 1. These hikes come after two monthly price reductions of Rs 183.50 in July and Rs 192 in August.
Under the revised rate list, a new 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) connection costs Rs 1,903, while refills for the same size are priced at Rs 782. Domestic LPG prices for households remain unchanged at Rs 942 per 14.2-kg cylinder.
Petrol and diesel prices, which saw increases of approximately Rs 7.50 per litre in May, also remain at their previous levels. LPG and ATF rates are revised on the first of every month based on international benchmark prices and the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
