DoT Odisha holds awareness session for eight cooperative banks
The session focused on the Financial Fraud Risk Indicator platform to help identify and prevent digital financial fraud.
The Security Vertical of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) Odisha Licensed Service Area conducted a virtual awareness session for eight cooperative banks in Odisha, according to the Indian Cooperative.
The session addressed banks that have not yet joined the Financial Fraud Risk Indicator (FFRI) platform. The programme was organised alongside the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Odisha, which is convened by UCO Bank.
The initiative aimed to educate cooperative banks about the FFRI platform. The goal is to encourage banks to join the system to improve the detection and prevention of financial fraud.
The FFRI provides financial institutions with risk-related data. This information helps in identifying transactions and mobile numbers that may be fraudulent.
The DoT Odisha LSA is a unit of the Department of Telecommunications under the Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
