Farah Khan asks for privacy after video of argument with cook goes viral
The filmmaker requested social media users not to draw conclusions from a brief clip showing her exchange with Dilip Mukhiya.
Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has requested social media users to respect her privacy after a video of an argument with her long-time cook, Dilip Mukhiya, went viral, according to India Today.
In the clip, Mukhiya tells Khan, "I have told you so many times," to which Khan replies, "Are you going to explain it to me?" Khan then noticed the filming and asked the person to stop recording.
Addressing the matter on Instagram, Khan wrote, "Guys, please respect Dilip and my privacy. Do not jump to any conclusion."
Mukhiya first appeared in Khan's Yakhni Pulao video in April 2024. Their kitchen banter became a regular feature of her cooking vlogs, which have also included Kajol, Ananya Panday, and Vijay Varma.
Khan told Soha Ali Khan on YouTube that Mukhiya has always been paid well, but his earnings and opportunities increased after joining the channel. Khan said she sends his children to an English-medium school and put one of his sons through a culinary diploma course.
Mukhiya, 42, joined Khan's household about 13 years ago after spending nearly a decade in Delhi. He has since appeared in advertisements for Myntra, Amazon, Urban Company, and Flipkart.
