The All India INTUC Young Workers Council participated in the nationwide protest to demand employment security and defend democratic institutions.
The All India INTUC Young Workers Council took part in the nationwide ‘Chalo Delhi’ protest, according to the Deccan Chronicle.
The demonstration was held following a call from INTUC president Dr G. Sanjeeva Reddy to protect constitutional values, democracy, and the rights of workers.
The rally included various groups, such as youth organisations, women, farmers, workers, and trade union leaders. They demanded social security, job stability, the safeguarding of democratic institutions, and transparency in elections.
Dr Sanjeeva Reddy said that young workers must not stay silent while constitutional principles and democratic institutions face threats.
The council stated it will keep mobilising young workers to fight against the loss of labour rights, job insecurity, and unemployment.
