Karnataka IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge seeks input from tech community
Minister Priyank Kharge has asked founders, researchers and industry professionals to share their ideas and challenges directly via social media.
Karnataka Information Technology and Biotechnology Minister Priyank Kharge has asked the state's technology sector to provide him with direct feedback, according to The New Indian Express.
In a post on X, Kharge stated he wants to hear from innovators, researchers, industry professionals and founders working in the sector.
The post did not specify how the responses would be utilised or if there is a formal process for follow-up.
Former FKCCI president J Crasta welcomed the move but noted that implementing ideas in Karnataka is a difficult task for investors due to the current infrastructure and the attitude of officials.
Experts noted that common sector concerns include regulation, talent, infrastructure and expanding tech growth to cities outside the capital.
While an open call can reach smaller startups and individual researchers, experts added that without structured follow-up, such calls risk being viewed as symbolic.
