Chief Minister Mohan Yadav called for collective efforts to build a prosperous and self-reliant state on its 71st Foundation Day.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday extended greetings to residents on the state’s 71st Foundation Day, observed on November 1. According to the Hindustan Times, Yadav said the state's identity is being shaped by its cultural heritage and its ongoing development.

Reflecting on the 71-year journey since the state's formation on November 1, 1956, the chief minister noted the transition from a BIMARU state to a developing one. He said the state's identity now includes a pride in its heritage alongside new developmental progress.

Yadav highlighted that industrial growth, investment promotion, rising agricultural growth, and better tourism facilities have provided momentum to the state's economy. He stated that these sectors have offered fresh support to the economy.

In a message reported by the Free Press Journal, Yadav also identified the city of Ujjain, the Narmada River, Sanchi Stupa, Khajuraho temples, and Bhimbetka as defining elements of the state's identity. He noted that 2026 is being celebrated as Krishak Kalyan Varsh.

The chief minister emphasised that the vision for development requires the participation of women, youth, and farmers. He said the government is committed to providing opportunities in education, skill development, and employment for young people.

Yadav called for public participation and hard work to build a self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. He stated that the responsibility of shaping the future is shared by both the government and the people.
