Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang supports lawful immigration to attract global talent

Jensen Huang said the ability to draw researchers and entrepreneurs from around the world is a main strength of the United States.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said on the BG2 podcast that the United States should continue to attract the world's great minds to the country. He noted that attracting researchers, entrepreneurs and builders helps the nation create new companies, inventions and technologies.

Huang stated that the country's ability to attract the best talent is a superpower that enables unique intellectual property creation. He said people want to build lives in America because it provides freedom, opportunity and support for new ideas.

The CEO described the movement of ideas and intellectual property into the country as a delicate system. He said immigration must be done lawfully and rightfully to maintain a balance between different concerns.

Huang's comments follow the Trump administration suspending Microsoft, Adobe and six other technology companies from the Permanent Labor Certification programme. Vice President JD Vance accused those companies of replacing American employees with lower-cost foreign workers.

Huang, who was born in Taiwan and spent part of his childhood in Thailand, arrived in the US before his parents. He was recently among those who appeared at the White House for the National Medal of Science.
