Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann claims opposition parties have nothing to offer state

Chief Minister Mann expressed confidence that the Aam Aadmi Party will return to power in 2027 while criticising the Akali Dal, Congress and BJP.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann alleged on Sunday that the Shiromani Akali Dal, Congress and BJP have nothing constructive to offer the people of Punjab. According to the Times of India, Mann accused these opposition parties of prioritising personal interests and political power over public welfare.

Addressing a gathering in the state, Mann claimed that the Akali Dal has failed to address sacrilege incidents and has been reduced to the Badal family and a few associates. He described the Congress as a divided house where leaders are frequently at loggerheads.

The Chief Minister alleged that these political parties work together with the sole agenda of grabbing power and protecting vested interests. He stated that voters would reject the opposition's propaganda and support the government's focus on development and transparency.

Mann also highlighted the Mukh Mantri Mawan-Dheeyan Satkar Yojna, noting that over 37.43 lakh beneficiaries have received funds through the scheme. He said more than 80 lakh women had registered for the programme as of October 29.

The Chief Minister stated the scheme aims to cover one crore women and could provide Rs 12,000 crore in annual assistance. He expressed confidence that the Aam Aadmi Party would be given another opportunity to govern the state in 2027.
