Traffic restrictions in central Hyderabad for Amit Shah's padayatra on November 2
Commuters are advised to avoid several major junctions in Hyderabad between 1 pm and 7 pm during the BJP footmarch.
Traffic restrictions are expected across several parts of central Hyderabad on Monday, November 2, for a BJP padayatra from the BJR Statue to MJ Market. According to reports by The Hindu and Telangana Today, the footmarch will take place between 1 pm and 7 pm.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will undertake the padayatra as part of a campaign against an alleged false narrative by the Congress regarding the SIR exercise, according to the Deccan Herald. The march will move from the Babu Jagjivan Ram statue at Basheerbagh to Mozamjahi Market, where Shah is expected to address people.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory stating that traffic will be regulated or diverted on a need basis. Motorists are advised to avoid junctions including Liberty, Ravindra Bharathi, BJR Statue Circle, GPO, Nampally T-Junction, and MJ Market.
Specific diversions include vehicles from A.R. Petrol Pump towards BJR Statue being diverted towards Nampally Railway Station and Ravindra Bharathi. Traffic from Jambagh and Afzalgunj towards GPO Junction will be diverted at MJ Market towards Taj Island.
RTC buses will also face diversions. District buses travelling towards Ranigunj and Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at CTO Junction towards Rasoolpura and Begumpet. Police have advised those travelling to Nampally Railway Station, Kachiguda Railway Station, or the airport to start early.
