Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma hold second net session in Auckland

The Indian batters participated in high-intensity training at Eden Park as part of their ODI preparations.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma conducted their second net session at the Eden Park training ground in Auckland to continue their ODI preparations, according to the Times of India.

The session featured the two batters facing Auqib Nabi, Gurnoor Brar, and Anshul Kamboj on the centre wicket. Nabi used the breeze to get movement away from the right-handers, while Brar and Kamboj also challenged the batters with length and movement.

Kohli focused on his drives and searched for shots towards mid-wicket. After Rohit finished his session, Kohli continued batting with KL Rahul for ten minutes, which included hitting a ball out of the park. Kohli concluded his training with high-intensity sprints.

Rohit appeared tentative outside the off-stump but was comfortable playing deliveries off his pads. During a break, the former Indian captain posed for a picture with two local cricketers.

India ODI captain Shubman Gill was not present at the nets due to a scheduled gym session. KL Rahul and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who joined the team on October 31, participated in an extended session between the nets and the centre wicket.

Spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule, along with throwdown specialists Dayanand Garani and Nuwan Seneviratne, were in attendance. The rest of the support staff remained with the T20I team in Hamilton.
