Investors compare RIL, Jio Platforms and Jio Financial shares after Q2 results
Stock market experts suggest Jio Platforms as a top fundamental buy following its recent Q2 2026 earnings report.
According to Mint, investors are comparing the Q2FY27 earnings of three Mukesh Ambani-led companies, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), Jio Platforms Ltd (JPL), and Jio Financial Service Ltd (JFSL), amid a rebound in the Indian stock market.
Avinash Gorakshkar, Founder of Avinash Mentor Research, said Jio Platforms remains a top fundamental buy, while RIL acts as a strong defensive value play. He described Jio Financial Services as an asset-light, long-term fintech compounding machine.
Reliance Industries reported consolidated revenue growth of 27.80 per cent YoY to ₹3,62,268 crore during the July to September 2026 quarter. The company's EBITDA grew 23.9 per cent YoY to ₹62,409 crore, while net profit increased 33.80 per cent YoY to ₹29,550 crore.
Gorakshkar noted that RIL's growth was supported by a recovery in the Oil-to-Chemicals (O2C) EBITDA, which grew about 70 per cent YoY to approximately ₹25,200 crore. He said the O2C recovery is expected to continue in the next quarter.
Jio Platforms reported consolidated revenue growth of 11.30 per cent YoY to ₹47,485 crore and a net profit increase of 16.60 per cent YoY to ₹21,879 crore. The company's margins expanded 250 bps to 54.10 per cent.
