Hero MotoCorp October sales rise 16 per cent to 7.34 lakh units

Growth in scooter volumes and the domestic internal combustion engine business supported the company's performance during the festive month.

Hero MotoCorp reported total dispatches of 7,34,403 motorcycles and scooters in October 2026, marking a 16 per cent increase from 6,35,808 units in the same month last year, according to the Financial Express.

The company attributed the performance to demand for scooters and its 100cc motorcycles. Domestic dispatches, which accounted for most of the October volumes, rose 16.6 per cent to 7,05,084 units.

Scooter dispatches grew by 60.8 per cent to 1,04,603 units, up from 65,055 units last year. Motorcycle dispatches rose 10.3 per cent year on year to 6,29,800 units from 5,70,753 units.

The company's domestic internal combustion engine (ICE) business recorded dispatches of 6,75,017 units in October, a 14 per cent increase from 5,90,806 units a year earlier.

While domestic sales grew, exports declined 5.4 per cent to 29,319 units from 30,979 units in the previous year. However, overseas dispatches grew 6.3 per cent during the April-October period.

The company also reported that VIDA's VAHAN retail registrations increased 80 per cent year on year. VIDA's share of India's electric two-wheeler segment rose to 13.6 per cent in October 2026 from 11.1 per cent a year earlier.
