IFFCO MD meets Odisha BJP President to discuss fertiliser availability
The meeting between K J Patel and Manmohan Samal focused on fertiliser supply and farmer welfare initiatives.
IFFCO Managing Director K J Patel met Manmohan Samal, the President of the BJP’s Odisha unit, to discuss the availability of fertilisers and farmer welfare, according to the Indian Cooperative.
Samal is a Rajya Sabha Member from Odisha and a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Chemicals and Fertilisers.
Patel stated that the interaction involved discussing how to ensure fertiliser supplies and improving extension services to teach farmers how to use fertilisers effectively and responsibly.
The discussions also covered providing better guidance and awareness regarding fertiliser application to help improve agricultural productivity and nutrient management.
Patel described the meeting as a useful chance to exchange views with the senior Odisha leader on matters related to the fertiliser sector and the welfare of farmers.
As a cooperative fertiliser organisation, IFFCO has been working to promote farmer education alongside the supply of agricultural inputs.
