Kashmir is incomplete without Kashmiri Pandits, says LG Manoj Sinha

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated 1,416 residential flats for PM Package employees at three locations on Sunday.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday inaugurated 1,416 residential flats for migrant Kashmiri Pandit PM Package employees at three locations in the Kashmir Valley. According to The Pioneer, the new complexes are located at Zewan in Srinagar, Kakan Maran in Budgam, and Kulangam Bagh in Kupwara.

Addressing a gathering, Sinha said that the return of Kashmiri Pandit families with dignity is necessary to restore the historical heritage and human dignity of the Kashmir Division. He stated that the region's cultural, spiritual, and civilisational heritage cannot be imagined without the contribution of Kashmiri Pandits.

The Zewan complex is the largest under the project, containing 936 flats across 39 blocks. The Kulangam Bagh complex in Kupwara has 288 flats, while the Kakan Maran complex in Budgam consists of 192 flats.

The broader transit accommodation project includes 6,000 flats across 342 blocks at 20 locations in 10 districts. Of these sanctioned flats, more than 5,200 have been completed and over 3,800 have been allotted.

Sinha directed authorities to complete all remaining work without delay. Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works (R&B) Department, Anil Kumar Singh, said the remaining flats will be finished by December this year.
