Lady Gaga foundation reaches 100,000 mental-health certificate milestone

The Born This Way Foundation announced that over 100,000 people worldwide have completed its free online programme to support those in distress.

The Born This Way Foundation announced on May 31, 2026, that more than 100,000 Be There Certificates have been earned globally through its free online programme, according to the Times of India.

Co-founded in 2012 by pop star Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, the foundation developed the course in partnership with the Canadian youth mental-health organisation Jack.org.

The programme teaches participants how to identify signs of distress, respond with care, and assist individuals in connecting with appropriate support services.

The milestone is linked to the Generation Be There campaign, which launched in April 2026 to increase participation and provide young people with practical skills.

The foundation's impact timeline noted that the initiative involved 186 partner organisations and saw more than 590 people attend various campaign events.

Cynthia Germanotta stated in an announcement published by the Harvard Graduate School of Education that the foundation grew from her daughter's desire to create a world where people are accepted regardless of their differences.
