Sanket Arsekar completes IRONMAN 70.3 Goa for third consecutive year

The 38-year-old BJP worker participated in the triathlon as part of a relay team that finished in 6:03 hours.

Sanket Arsekar completed the IRONMAN 70.3 Goa triathlon on Monday, marking his third straight year participating in the event, according to ANI.

Arsekar, a 38-year-old BJP Goa party worker for Sanvordem, handled the 21.1 km half-marathon portion of a relay team. His teammates, Ram and Navin, managed the 1.9 km open-water swim and the 90 km cycling segment. The group reached the finish line with a total time of 6:03 hours.

The sixth edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Goa attracts participants from domestic and international locations. Arsekar, who is currently associated with the Bajrang Dal and previously served as a BJYM General Secretary and ABVP student cell head, said that fitness is about daily consistency rather than a single race.

Following the triathlon, Arsekar introduced #SuperFitNovember, a 30-day fitness challenge for residents of Goa. The initiative encourages people to perform daily exercises and share their progress via social media using a specific hashtag.

The fitness challenge is scheduled to conclude with a 5 km and 10 km marathon on 29 November. Arsekar stated that medals will be awarded to all participants who maintain consistency throughout the month.
