Three former BDC chairmen resign from BJP in Reasi
The former leaders submitted their resignation letters to the district president on October 31.
Three former Block Development Council (BDC) chairmen associated with the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district have resigned from the party's primary membership, according to ThePrint.
Chander Mohan Singh of Block Panthal, Sham Lal Bhagat of Block Katra, and Ashok Thakur of Block Bhomag submitted their resignation letters to the BJP district president on October 31.
In their letter, the leaders requested the party leadership to formally accept the resignations and immediately remove their names from the primary membership records.
While the leaders declined to comment on their reasons for leaving, sources close to them suggested that dissatisfaction with how the party leadership functions and grievances within the organisation may have played a role.
The exit is considered a setback for the BJP's organisational structure in Reasi due to the long association of these leaders with the party.
Singh was a former state executive member of the BJP Panchayati Raj Cell, Bhagat was a member of the BJP District Executive Body, and Thakur served as the Prabhari (In-charge) of Mandal Reasi and district secretary.
