Three arrested in Delhi for alleged inter-state cyber fraud syndicate

The accused allegedly cheated victims, primarily from Tamil Nadu, by promising personal loans, insurance policies, and employment opportunities.

Delhi Police arrested three men on Monday for allegedly operating an inter-state cyber fraud syndicate that targeted people with promises of loans and jobs, according to The Pioneer.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ravi Sharma (42), Sunny Kashyap (40), and Gaurav (33).

The case was initiated after a resident of Dindigul in Tamil Nadu filed a complaint alleging he was cheated of approximately Rs 40,000 under the pretext of arranging a personal loan.

An official said the accused lured victims with attractive offers and collected advance processing fees without delivering the promised services.

During the investigation, police traced a suspicious bank account in Laxmi Nagar, east Delhi, which received suspected fraud proceeds totaling Rs 2.60 lakh.

The officer stated that Sharma operated a fake financial services office in Noida, Gaurav arranged mule bank accounts for commissions, and Kashyap provided accounts to route the money.
