Food influencer Ulhas Kamthe clarifies death rumours after hospital video went viral
The creator, known as the 'chicken leg piece' guy, suffered a panic attack during a movie premiere in Mumbai.
Food influencer Ulhas Kamthe, known as the 'chicken leg piece' guy, is alive and healthy following rumours of his death, according to The Times of India.
The rumours began after a video of Kamthe in a hospital bed was shared on social media without context, leading to claims that he had suffered a fatal heart attack.
Kamthe later posted a video alongside members of a film crew to confirm he is doing fine and to address the misinformation.
The incident occurred during a premiere screening of the horror movie Jhaad Phoonk in Mumbai.
Kamthe stated he was hesitant to attend the screening because he does not handle horror well, but he went after being personally invited by a member of the film's team.
During a scene in the film, Kamthe suffered a panic attack and fainted in his seat.
Director Rajan Ramgopal Varma and crew members took Kamthe to Kokilaben Hospital, where doctors identified the episode as an anxiety-induced panic attack.
Kamthe was discharged after approximately one hour once his vitals stabilised.
