US stocks open higher as AI trade steadies and oil falls
Wall Street indexes rose on Monday as technology stocks stabilised and crude oil prices dropped amid hopes of a US-Iran peace deal.
Wall Street's main indexes opened higher on Monday, according to The Economic Times, as technology and artificial intelligence (AI) related stocks steadied after a poor October.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 403.09 points, or 0.78 per cent, at the open to reach 52,173.40.
The S&P 500 increased by 33.80 points, or 0.45 per cent, to 7,613.87 at the opening bell.
The Nasdaq Composite also saw a rise of 159.07 points, or 0.63 per cent, to 25,596.07.
Risk sentiment received a boost as crude oil prices dropped sharply, which was linked to growing hopes of a peace deal between the US and Iran.
