Zen Technologies shares rally as Q2 profit rises 51 per cent

The defence technology firm saw its consolidated net profit reach Rs 90 crore for the September 2026 quarter.

Zen Technologies shares rose on Monday after the defence technology company posted its financial results for the September 2026 quarter. According to reports from The Economic Times and Moneycontrol, the company's consolidated net profit grew 51 per cent year-on-year to Rs 90 crore, up from Rs 59 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue from operations for the quarter climbed 98 per cent to Rs 345 crore, compared to Rs 174 crore in the previous year. The company recorded an order inflow of Rs 481.81 crore during this period, bringing its total consolidated order book to Rs 1,375.70 crore as of September 30, 2026.

Zen Technologies Chairman and Managing Director Ashok Atluri said the quarter represented the highest-ever consolidated quarterly revenue for the firm. He noted that the company achieved an operational EBITDA margin of 38.2 per cent.

Atluri stated that the company has started delivering orders from the Fast Track Procurement route ahead of contractual timelines. He said that owning its core technology allows the company to modify products quickly for Army requirements without relying on foreign licensors.

The company attributed the demand to a favourable domestic defence procurement environment. The Defence Acquisition Council recently gave Acceptance of Necessity to several capital acquisition proposals, with approximately 82 per cent intended for the domestic defence industry.
