National and state disaster response teams are conducting relief operations as the cyclone makes landfall along the coast.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has promised comprehensive assistance from the Central Government to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu following the impact of Cyclone Murasu, according to The News Mill and ANI.

Shah stated that National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) units are already working in the affected regions. The Home Minister said he spoke with Naidu via telephone to discuss the cyclone's impact and affirmed the government's commitment to supporting the state's response efforts.

In Karnataka, Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced that teams from his state are travelling to Andhra Pradesh to assist with restoration and relief work. Naidu expressed his gratitude to Shivakumar and the people of Karnataka for their support during the crisis.

Andhra Pradesh Meteorological Department Director K Nagaratna reported that the cyclone crossed the southern coastline between 3:30 AM and 5:30 AM on Tuesday. The system has been moving north-northwestwards at approximately 8 kmph, with gusty winds recorded between 100 to 110 kmph and gusts reaching 120 kmph.

The cyclone was reported centred near Ongole, Kavali, Bapatla, Nellore, and Machilipatnam. Red alerts have been issued for several districts, including Krishna, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Markapuram, and Prakasam, as officials urge residents to remain vigilant against heavy rainfall.

Fishermen have been advised not to go to sea until November 4. In Prakasam district, the administration has begun rescue operations for residents stranded in Samatha Nagar, Ongole, after heavy rains caused several thatched houses to collapse.
