AP EDB urges investors to explore space sector at CII summit
The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board is inviting prospective investors to the upcoming CII Partnership Summit-2026 in Visakhapatnam.
The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (AP-EDB) has urged prospective investors to explore space sector opportunities in Andhra Pradesh at the 31st CII Partnership Summit-2026. According to The Hindu, the summit is scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13.
The AP-EDB stated in a social media post that the state's space ecosystem is anchored by Sriharikota. This location is home to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, which is India’s only operational spaceport and has recorded over 90 successful launches.
Under its Space Policy 4.0, the state plans to develop two dedicated facilities. A proposed facility in Tirupati district will focus on manufacturing, integration and launch logistics, while a site in Sri Sathya Sai district is envisioned as a centre for design, development and research.
The AP-EDB noted that additional industrial clusters have been identified across Anantapur, Chittoor and Nellore. These clusters aim to create opportunities in precision engineering, electronics, component manufacturing and emerging space applications.
