Honda debuts 2027 CRF1150L Africa Twin series at EICMA 2026

The new large-size adventure bike lineup includes a standard model, an Adventure Sports version, and a new Enduro Sports variant.

Honda has showcased its 2027 CRF1150L Africa Twin large-size adventure bike series at EICMA 2026, according to a report by RushLane. The updated family consists of three models: the standard CRF1150L Africa Twin, the CRF1150L Africa Twin Adventure Sports, and the new CRF1150L Africa Twin Enduro Sports.

The series features a larger 1,131 cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine that produces 119 PS at 7,500 rpm and 119 Nm at 5,700 rpm. These models include an improved intake/exhaust system and new gear ratios. Due to a new chassis and swingarm, the bikes are 1.4 kg lighter than previous versions.

The Adventure Sports model is the first to receive the Honda SENSING RIDE advanced safety and rider-assistive system. This optional feature for the DCT variant uses millimetre-wave radar to provide warnings and assistance, including functions like blind spot monitoring, forward collision warnings, and adaptive cruise control.

The new Enduro Sports variant is designed for off-road use with increased ground clearance and a taller seat height. It features 49 mm closed cartridge USD front forks and a Pro-Link Showa rear monoshock. This model is available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed DCT transmission.

The standard and Adventure Sports models utilise SHOWA Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment suspension with Honda Skyhook control. All new models include six default riding modes that adjust engine performance, ABS, traction control, and suspension based on riding conditions.
