FMCG, chemical and IT shares advanced as the Sensex climbed 1.15 per cent by Tuesday afternoon, according to Business Standard.
The Sensex rose 873.76 points, or 1.15 per cent, to 76,566.54, while the Nifty50 increased by 237.7 points, or 1.01 per cent, to 23,678.50 as of 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
According to Business Standard, the Nifty50 and Sensex rose as shares in the FMCG, chemical and IT sectors advanced amid the unwinding of the AI-trade in global markets.
InterGlobe Aviation, Shriram Finance, and Nestle India were the top gainers in the Nifty50. In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap 100 rose 0.68 per cent and the Nifty SmallCap 100 rose 0.42 per cent.
Sector-wise, the Nifty FMCG and Nifty Realty indices rose the most. Conversely, the Nifty IT and Nifty Metal sectors declined the most.
