International brokerage Jefferies maintained its ‘Buy’ rating on the shares but reduced its target price from Rs 2,550 to Rs 2,300. Jefferies noted that Bajaj Finserv delivered a 25 per cent year-on-year rise in core profit, led by Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Life Insurance, though dragged by weaker trends in Bajaj General Insurance.
The brokerage trimmed core profit estimates by 1-3 per cent and cited lower multiples for insurance segments and an increased holdco discount as reasons for the target price reduction.
