Revolt Motors secures order for 1,100 electric bikes from Bihar Police

The company aims to complete the delivery of the BlazeX commuter motorcycles in Patna by the end of this month.

Revolt Motors, a subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises, said on Wednesday that it has received an order from Bihar Police to supply 1,100 units of its BlazeX commuter electric motorcycle.

According to the Daily Excelsior, the company is scheduled to deliver the motorcycles to Patna by January next year, though it is attempting to finish the task within this month.

Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd, said that the order is a significant step for the company and provides an opportunity to test products in real-world operating environments.

Rattan noted that institutional adoption is a key way to increase the use of electric bikes across India.

The BlazeX model provides a distance of up to 150 km on a single charge and can be powered via a standard 10A socket. The motorcycle also features a removable battery, under-seat storage for the charger, and built-in GPS for tracking.

The company stated that the electric bikes offer lower maintenance and running costs for organisations compared to other options.
