The National Apex Committee (NAC) has approved five additional urban infrastructure projects in Telangana worth ₹3,892 crore, according to The Hindu.

During its fourth meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the NAC cleared the ₹1,992-crore Godavari Drinking Water Supply Project (Phases II and III) for the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).

Other approved works include a ₹1,465-crore stormwater drainage upgrade for the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC), a ₹209-crore restoration of the Warangal Fort moat, a ₹169-crore Hanumakonda Central Business District project, and a ₹57.5-crore regeneration project for Alampur Temple Town.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Secretary T.K. Sreedevi said the projects aim to strengthen sanitation, conserve heritage, and improve urban resilience. She noted that the initiatives led by Chief Minister A.

Revanth Reddy are intended to create sustainable growth centres.

The funding for these projects involves a central contribution of over ₹1,500 crore, with the state government and urban local bodies expected to provide approximately ₹2,393 crore. Nearly ₹4,886 crore is proposed through institutional loans and public-private partnership (PPP) models.

To date, the NAC has sanctioned a total of ₹9,573 crore for Telangana across four meetings. Previous approvals include the ₹4,674.6-crore Greater Warangal Comprehensive Underground Sewerage System and the ₹840-crore Karimnagar Urban Transformation Project.
