Telangana Health Minister orders full equipment for Warangal Super Specialty Hospital

Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha directed officials to expedite pending works to ensure comprehensive medical services are available before the hospital's inauguration.

Telangana Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha has directed the Roads and Buildings (R&B) and Health departments to speed up pending works at the Warangal Super Specialty Hospital, according to The Hindu.

The Minister reviewed the progress of the Warangal facility alongside the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) hospitals at Alwal and LB Nagar during a meeting in Hyderabad.

Narasimha instructed officials to prioritise infrastructure for outpatient (OP) services, including consultation rooms, registration counters, a pharmacy, and diagnostic facilities. He stated the hospital should provide all necessary medical services under one roof so patients are not referred elsewhere.

Construction agencies assured the Minister that infrastructure for OP services and the preparation of six operation theatres will be completed by November 15.

Officials informed the Minister that construction at the Alwal TIMS hospital is in its final stages with medical equipment installation underway. The LB Nagar TIMS facility is expected to reach its final construction stage by March 2027.

The Minister also directed a government-appointed team of doctors to visit the Warangal and TIMS facilities regularly to monitor progress and preparedness.
