Experts weigh MCX, NSE and BSE shares after Q2 results
Market analysts suggest different strategies for exchange stocks following strong second quarter financial performance for FY2026.
Market experts have provided different outlooks for exchange stocks MCX, NSE and BSE following the announcement of Q2 results for FY2026, according to a report by Mint. While all three exchanges reported strong results, analysts noted varying growth patterns and market positions.
Avinash Gorakshkar, Founder of Avinash Mentor Research, stated that MCX reported more than 110 per cent growth in revenue and approximately 130 per cent year-on-year growth in net profit. He attributed this to higher activity in the commodity derivatives segment. He advised long-term investors to prefer NSE over BSE, noting that NSE generates massive absolute cash flows and dominates the Indian equity and derivatives cash market.
Seema Srivastava, Senior Research Analyst at SMC Global Securities, said MCX delivered explosive growth due to its virtual monopoly in Indian commodity derivatives. She noted that aggressive investors might look at MCX ahead of BSE and NSE. Regarding NSE, Srivastava said its net profit grew nearly 23 per cent year-on-year to ₹2,578 crore, while revenue grew 10.6 per cent year-on-year to ₹4,066.8 crore.
Sumeet Bagadia, Executive Director at Choice Broking, provided technical targets for the stocks. He said MCX has support at ₹3,180 and resistance at ₹3,530, with a potential target of ₹3,650 if resistance is broken. For NSE, he identified support at ₹1,775 and resistance at ₹1,900, suggesting a potential move to ₹2,000.
Bagadia also commented on BSE, stating the stock has support at ₹3,500 and resistance at ₹1,93,800, with a potential target of ₹4,000 if it breaks resistance. He suggested BSE for short-term investors.
