Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda directed authorities on Thursday to finish the remaining construction works of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Awantipora, by March 2027. According to The Tribune, Nadda arrived in Srinagar to review the progress of the institute's construction and operationalisation.

The Union Minister assessed the status of infrastructure development, the procurement of medical equipment and furniture, and the recruitment of faculty and other personnel.
