Odisha H&UD Department recalls Asika Municipality Executive Officer
The Ganjam district Collector has been authorised to assign an additional charge to maintain civil administration in the civic body.
The Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Department of the Government of Odisha has ordered Rajesh Kumar Mohapatra, the Executive Officer of Asika Municipality in Ganjam district, to return to the department headquarters.
According to Pragativadi, the department issued an official office order regarding this administrative move on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
To ensure that public services are not interrupted, the Collector and District Magistrate of Ganjam has been given the power to appoint an eligible district-level officer to take over the Executive Officer role temporarily.
This interim arrangement will continue until the state government issues further orders or communicates new official postings.
