OPSC issues notification for 340 Assistant Section Officer posts
The Odisha Public Service Commission will begin accepting online applications for the Group-B recruitment drive on November 9.
The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced recruitment for 340 Assistant Section Officer (ASO) positions within the Home Department's Odisha Secretariat Service, according to Pragativadi.
Online registration for these Group-B roles starts on November 9 and will conclude at 5 PM on November 30 via the official website, www.opsc.gov.in.
The vacancy breakdown includes 144 unreserved posts, 38 for SEBC, 81 for SC, and 77 for ST candidates, with 114 positions reserved for women.
Applicants must be graduates with basic computer skills and aged between 21 and 42 years as of January 1, 2026. Successful candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs 35,400 under Level-9, Cell-1, along with government allowances.
Unreserved candidates must pay a Rs 700 application fee, which is refundable if they attend the preliminary exam, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates are exempt from the fee.
The selection process involves a written exam and a skill test, with the written examination scheduled for Sunday, January 17, 2027. The commission stated that selection will be based strictly on merit.
