Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah backs Bigg Boss 20 contestant Qazi Touqeer

The Chief Minister stated he would vote for the singer to win the reality show after recalling his previous musical success.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed his support for singer Qazi Touqeer, a contestant on Bigg Boss 20, according to WION. Abdullah stated during a podcast with journalist Shubhankar Mishra that he would vote for Touqeer to win the reality show.

The Chief Minister said he does not watch the programme but is aware of Touqeer's participation through newspapers. Abdullah recalled seeing Touqeer perform at concerts and noted that the singer previously won the music reality show Fame Gurukul.

During the discussion, Abdullah remarked that if Touqeer wins the show, it would be a good thing for the region. He also mentioned hearing that host Salman Khan had called out the contestant for remarks made about a housemate's life.

Touqeer, who is returning to mainstream television after 21 years, has become a popular contestant. He has received support from various celebrities, including Arijit Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Salman Khan.

In a recent episode of the show, host Salman Khan questioned Touqeer regarding his marital status. Touqeer clarified that he is married to Hifsa, a dentist, and described their relationship as an arranged marriage that developed into love.

The remaining contestants in the competition include Scout Op, Love Gill, Qazi, Amrapali, Arishfa, Mahhi, and Uditi Singh. Aasif Khan was recently evicted from the house.
