BJP MLA claims Pakistan-based group threatened to kill him
Uttar Pradesh MLA Nand Kishor Gurjar said a Pakistan-based organisation threatened to bomb his house and kill him on Sunday.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Nand Kishor Gurjar from Loni, Uttar Pradesh, claimed on Sunday that he received a death threat from a Pakistan-based organisation. According to the Times of India, Gurjar said the group threatened to kill him and bomb his residence.
The MLA stated that he told the callers they lacked the courage to carry out such actions. He said that as descendants of Chhatrapati Shivaji and Maharana Pratap, they would deal with the threat.
Gurjar also remarked that Pakistan is facing starvation. He claimed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India now responds firmly to attacks after centuries of being targeted.
The claim follows a blast at a police outpost in Ghaziabad on Saturday that injured one person. An organisation named Tehrik Ul Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for the explosion, which damaged window panes at the Vasundhara police outpost.
Police are currently verifying the social media post made by the organisation. Authorities have indicated that the investigation into the blast will include a possible terrorist angle as they work to ascertain the motive.
