Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang admits to affair with Singapore company CEO

The company's board has launched an independent investigation following reports regarding a relationship with an executive suspected of being a spy.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has admitted to having an extra-marital affair with Alice Huang, the CEO of Singapore-based company Megaspeed, according to the Times of India.

In an email to Nvidia employees, Huang apologised to his family and colleagues for being unfaithful to his wife. He also addressed national security concerns raised in news reports.

The Nvidia board of directors has initiated an independent investigation into the matter. A committee of independent directors, supported by external counsel, will manage the probe.

The board stated it currently has no reason to believe that company secrets or American national security were compromised. However, the inquiry will examine all available information.

Reports from The New York Times and Financial Times alleged that Megaspeed has been passing information to Chinese spies. The board said it prioritises U.S. national and economic security.

An Nvidia spokesperson said that Huang remains committed to his role as CEO without interruption. Huang stated he will cooperate fully with the investigation.
