The Tamil Nadu government has sanctioned Rs 109.75 crore for the 2026-27 financial year to implement a goat rearing scheme for women, according to ThePrint.

The TVK – Vetri Magalir Goat Rearing Scheme aims to provide 30,000 eligible beneficiaries with five goats or sheep at a 100 per cent subsidy.
