Diljit Dosanjh says crowd management concerns led to cancelled Bihar concert
The singer explained that organisers asked him to take responsibility for managing large crowds during his previous attempt to perform in Bihar.
Singer Diljit Dosanjh revealed that a planned concert in Bihar was cancelled due to difficulties regarding crowd management, according to reports by The Indian Express and Outlook.
During an Instagram Live session following his October 30 concert at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the singer said he and his team had attempted to go to Bihar previously.
Dosanjh stated that organisers asked if he would take responsibility for managing the massive crowds expected at the event. He said he told them he could not take that responsibility and that they would have to do it instead.
The singer noted that managing such large gatherings involves significant logistics, comparing the scale of the requirement to organising an event in Delhi.
The Delhi concert, which kicked off the India leg of his AURA Tour, had previously faced uncertainty when Delhi Police initially denied permission over security concerns. The show proceeded after organisers agreed to additional security and crowd-management measures.
Dosanjh is scheduled to perform in Indore on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29, Lucknow on December 5, Chandigarh on December 12, and Kolkata on December 19.
