Kiid Coffee reaches over 400 retailers after Shark Tank appearance

The beverage brand founded by Ethan Sanborn and his father has surpassed $2 million in annualised sales.

Kiid Coffee has expanded its retail presence to more than 400 stores across the United States, according to a report by the Times of India. The company, which was founded in July 2023 and launched in April 2024, has entered grocery chains including Fresh Thyme Market and Raley's.

The business gained national exposure after Ethan Sanborn and his father, David Sanborn, appeared on the television show Shark Tank in March 2025. During the programme, the pair sought $50,000 for a 5 per cent stake in the company.

Ethan accepted an offer from Daniel Lubetzky, the founder of KIND Snacks, for $50,000 in exchange for a 20 per cent share. The deal included an additional 5 per cent in stock options if David Sanborn moved to full-time involvement with the business.

The powdered beverage is designed for children and contains decaffeinated Arabica coffee, cacao, prebiotic fibre, and various vitamins and minerals. It is dairy-free, soy-free, and gluten-free, with a water-based decaffeination process that makes it 99.9 per cent caffeine-free.

The company has grown its flavour range from three to five options, including S'mores and Minty Mocha. A press release stated the business surpassed $2 million in annualised sales within 10 months and is on track to exceed $2 million in annual revenue.
