Munugode development suffered due to lack of state cooperation, says Rajgopal Reddy
Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy alleged that he must fight for funds for his constituency despite being part of the ruling party.
Munugode Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy stated on Sunday that development in his constituency has been hindered by a lack of adequate cooperation from the State government, according to Telangana Today.
Speaking at Gattuppal after the inauguration of a new building for the Sri Beerappa Sheep Rearers' Cooperative Society, Rajgopal Reddy said he has to struggle for projects and funds as if he were an Opposition MLA.
The MLA alleged that the State is experiencing a financial crisis caused by the previous BRS government. He also maintained that corruption exists in Telangana from the Secretariat level down to the Panchayat Secretary.
Regarding alcohol, Rajgopal Reddy noted that the Congress party promised to remove 'belt shops' in its Assembly election manifesto. He said these shops are being removed in Munugode because excessive drinking is damaging families in villages.
The MLA mentioned that Gattuppal became a mandal and Chandur became a Revenue Division only following his resignation. He said he will increase efforts to develop the Gattuppal mandal over the next two years.
